Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever are on the podium of America’s most popular dog breed, according to the American Kennel Club‘s ranking.
Leading the pack and maintaining the first position as the most popular dog breed in the U.S. is the Labrador Retriever, which continues to be the favorite when choosing the perfect four-legged match. This comes as no surprise, because this breed is the perfect companion for families with children. Due to their great trainability and intelligence, they are also amongst the best service and assistance dog breeds.
All three favorite breeds maintained their position in the ranking since the last few years. However, Labrador Retrievers achieved the longest reign, as they have been at the top of dog registrations across the country for several decades.
German Shepherd on second place, followed by Golden Retrievers and Bulldogs, Beagles, Boxers, Rottweilers, amongst the top ten favorites, show that America prefers big dogs.
